साईं बाबा ने अपना पूरा जीवन फकीरों की तरह जनकल्याण का काम करते हुए व्यतीत कर दिया। आज भी साईं भक्त अपनी हर समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए साईं दरबार पहुंच जाते हैं। साईं बाबा की पूजा के लिए गुरुवार का दिन सबसे खास बताया गया है। इस दिन साईं भक्त भजन, कीर्तन के साथ-साथ व्रत भी करते हैं।

साईं चमत्कार की पहली कथा
मुंबई के रहने वाले काका महाजनी का मन एक सप्ताह शिरडी में रुकने का था। पहले दिन जब वो साईं बाबा के दर्शन करने के बाद उनके पास पहुंचा, तो बाबा ने उनसे सवाल किया, 'तुम कब वापस जाओगे?' उन्हें बाबा के इस सवाल पर आश्चर्य हुआ। तब उन्होंने कहा, 'बाबा जब आप आज्ञा दें।' बाबा ने कहा, 'कल ही जाओ।'
ये सुनकर काका महाजनी तुरंत शिरडी से रवाना हो गए, लेकिन जब वो मुंबई अपने ऑफिस पहुंचे, तो उन्होंने अपने सेठ को अतिउत्सुकतापूर्वक उनका इंतजार करते पाया क्योंकि उनके मुनीम के अचानक बीमार पड़ जाने से काका की मौजूदगी बहुत जरूरी हो गई थी। सेठ ने काका को बुलाने के लिए पत्र भी लिखा था, जो उनके पते पर वापस लौट आया।

साईं चमत्कार की दूसरी कथा
एक समय की बात है। शिरडी में एक साईं भक्त के साथ उसका डॉक्टर मित्र भी आया, लेकिन वो शिरडी साईं बाबा के दर्शनों के लिए नहीं आया था, वो सिर्फ श्री राम को अपना इष्टदेव मानता था। डॉक्टर ने अपने मित्र से कहा कि तुम ही दर्शन करने जाओ, मैं नहीं जाऊंगा क्योंकि मैं श्रीराम के अलावा किसी के समक्ष नहीं झुकता। खासकर किसी फकीर के सामने और वह भी मस्जिद में तो कतई नहीं।
साईं भक्त ने उन्हें समझाया कि वहां तुम्हें कोई झुकने के लिए नहीं कहेगा, लेकिन जब वो बाबा के दर्शन को गए, तो डॉक्टर ही सबसे आगे जाते दिखे, ऐसा देख सबको आश्चर्य हुआ, उन्होंने ने सबसे पहले बाबा को प्रणाम किया।
जब इस बारे में डॉक्टर से पूछा गया तो उन्होंने बताया कि बाबा के स्थान पर उन्हें अपने प्रिय प्रभु श्रीराम के दर्शन हुए और इसलिए उन्होंने नमस्कार किया। लेकिन जब वो ये सब बता रहे थे, तभी उन्हें सांईंबाबा का रूप पुन: दिखने लगे।

Kaka Mahajani, a resident of Mumbai, wanted to stay in Shirdi for a week. On the first day when he reached Sai Baba after seeing him, Baba asked him, 'When will you go back?' He was surprised at this question of Baba. Then he said, 'Baba when you allow.' Baba said, 'Go tomorrow itself.'
Hearing this, Kaka Mahajani immediately left for Shirdi, but when he reached his office in Mumbai, he found his Seth anxiously waiting for him as his presence had become necessary due to the sudden illness of their accountant. Seth also wrote a letter to call Kaka, which returned to his address.

Second story of Sai miracle
Once upon a time. A Sai devotee also came to Shirdi along with his doctor friend, but he did not come to Shirdi to see Sai Baba, he only considered Shri Ram as his presiding deity. The doctor told his friend that you only go for darshan, I will not go because I do not bow down to anyone other than Shriram. Especially in front of a fakir and that too certainly not in a mosque.
The Sai devotee explained to him that no one would ask you to bow down there, but when he went to see Baba, everyone was surprised to see the doctor walking in front, he bowed down to Baba first.
When the doctor was asked about this, he told that instead of Baba, he had darshan of his beloved Lord Shriram and therefore he did Namaskar. But when he was telling all this, he started seeing the form of Saibaba again.
